Goal's and the new year.
After giving it careful consideration (mainly because I get tired of setting goals I never keep) I decided that my New Year goal would be to spend more "genuine" quality time with my kids and not to be so obsessed with things going perfectly.
After giving it a few weeks I can say it is going good. I played in the snow with the kids when it snowed last time, I am thinking that was Monday but can't remember for sure. I also let the kids do finger paint and did not freak out when they dipped their entire finger in the paint get entirely too much on their finger. I did play dough with them and DID NOT spend the entire time picking up the little pieces off the floor, instead I left it for the very end then cleaned it all up at once. Wow that made sense but it was still difficult to do. I also helped Shelby make a dog house for her little stuffed puppy out of one of Toby's shoe boxes. She was so proud of it.
I have been enjoying spending more time getting on the floor and playing with them this year, I am also enjoying their new bed time which I bumped up from 8:30 to 8 o'clock. Awww it is so nice.
So this picture doesn't have much to do with this post but I love Shelby's long eyelashes in it.

It is love.
Yippee! A little late on this post but I have to brag:) Ben got me a Nikon D60 for Christmas! I have been trying to figure out how to use all of the awesome features so I have been taking a lot of pictures of my feet and deleting. I love the camera it is so nice to finally have a camera that I don't have to wait for the flash to warm up or miss a good picture because it the camera is so delayed. Of course the quality of the pictures is amazing too. Now I can't wait for Spring so I can take some awesome outdoor pictures. I haven't had a picture that I want to blow up to an 8x10 yet but I am trying everyday to capture the perfect one or two.
Anyway I am super excited so I plan on getting some great pictures of my kiddos now!
