Almost done

I am almost done with Shelby's dollhouse. It has been fun to work on after the kids go to bed. I think I have more then enough furniture now it is just time to get get some more people and maybe a car finish with little details then just wait for Christmas and hope she loves it.

Making progress again.

Today we passed our last inspection on the addition until the final! Yea!!!! Now the really fun part starts. Siding went up last Tuesday and today the first piece of dry wall was hung.
I will have to post a picture of that tomorrow when we get a little more up (actually Ben will put the dry wall up while I help out by keeping the kids out of the way). We are just so excited to be making progress again and it is fun to see the big changes going on now with the dry wall and siding going up.

Your life's gonna change.

I told Ben the other day I think it is funny when you have your first baby everyone keeps telling you "your life's gonna change...." and they always say it in a really annoying voice. I always felt like responding like "Yeah you moron we are having a baby". Well for me it didn't feel like such a huge change I just had this little thing I took everywhere with me that pretty much slept all day. So you have this little person entertaining you (or annoying) all the time for five years then all the sudden they go off to school. Dude now my life has really changed. I kinda feel old I have kids in school that is weird.

As expected Shelby LOVES school. I asked her the other day what her favorite part of school is and she said "riding the bus". I should have guessed. Her bus comes at 12 o'clock so everyday she goes out and starts waiting around 11 then I have to bribe her to come back in for a little while longer. I am glad she finds joy in the simple things.

Doll house furniture.

I am making Shelby doll house furniture to go in the house my mom got her for her birthday in December. This is the bad for the master bedroom.

And here is the little couch to go with it.

I burnt the crap out of my thumbs but I am pretty happy with what I got so far.
