Hello crawler

 This sweet little guy is growing up way too fast. At six months old he is crawling everywhere and pulling himself up to everything. I think he is much stronger then he is coordinated though, poor guy has fallen over and bumped his head quite a few times already.

It is almost impossible to get a picture of him right now once he sees the camera he comes crawling at me giggle the whole time. Such a happy boy.

 Project alert: Shelby loves long skits and I have been having a hard time finding one to buy that was long and full enough for a decent price. I went into Savers a few weeks ago and found this dress $2.50! So I decided to try out my almost nonexistent sewing skills to turn it into a skirt. It was SO east and you can't even tell it use to be a dress. This may be one of my new favorite things to do! 

Closer look at my shelves

I got these great sprays at Walmart of all places. Love the blue color.

My husband snagged one of these nifty glass milk jugs when he was at his grandpa's house. They use to have a family dairy there years ago. It is fun to have some personal old items like this to display. 

So at craft warehouse I picked up these jars and flowers for $6. They diffidently add a touch of summer! Never mind that one of my flowers is totally staring off the wrong direction. Sometimes I don't notice these things until I take a picture HAHA.






I have to add a picture of my little buddy. I am so in love with this sweet boy!

Put down the spray can and walk away

 Seriously NOTHING in my house is safe from the spray paint. My family sign use to be black but I LOVE the white.

 Ok so that banana stand may have been going a little far but I figured who cares it is a $6 stand from Walmart. My husband has been making fun of me constant ever since I found this new addiction to spray paint.

And one more pop of yellow! I love it. This use to be red but it stands out so much more now!

For the love of yellow

I wanted some splashes of yellow in my house so I picked up this awesome plate at Tai Pan for $1.97. Love the color. I was looking for something simple to put on it so I decided to put or wedding date. I am so happy with it.

I had this sign over my window before but it was black so I sprayed it white and put a happy yellow quote on it! All of the pops of yellow is brightening my day. How about you?

Changing my house one wall at a time

For Years I have disliked the wall behind my staircase. Do you see why???? It looks like I went into a store and purchased everything on the display wall even though they were never meant to actually go together. 

Thanks to the Pinterest and The House Of Smiths Blog and of course my amazing friend Tiff I have these fabulous new shelves made by my wonderful husband. I can't wait to decorate these shelves for Christmas.

I have not blogged in so long I got on here to find my background is all messed up and I don't know how to do anything anymore! So please don't judge my ugly blog!
I have been working on redecorating my house, finally finding my own style

I bought this tray at Tai Pan and thought it was super ugly. Kinda looks like jelly fish right?

Nothing a can of spray paint and some modpodge can't fix! I kinda love it :)
